Welcome to the Northwest Junior Rodeo Association. I am
Shelby Marsh-Quinlan your 2010 NJRA Queen. I’m very honored and proud to
represent one of the most famous sports, Rodeo.
I am sixteen years old and attend
Klahowya Secondary School, as a Junior. I live in Seabeck, Washington, with
my parents Terri Marsh-Quinlan and Mike Quinlan. This is my third year in
the NJRA, and I compete in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Ribbon
Dogging and Breakaway Roping.
Aside from rodeo I am on the Varsity
Cheerleading squad and Varsity Fastpitch team. An active member in 4-H I
have been riding horses since I was eight years old. After I graduate my
goal is to becoming a E.M.T. and firefighter while attending College.
I would like to thank all the
contestants, families, sponsors and friends; they are truly what make the
sport of rodeo what it is today. In the 2010 rodeo season, I am
looking forward to meeting many new members, families and friends. I hope
everyone has an amazing rodeo season!
My name is
Paige Nybo and I am your 2010 Northwest Junior Rodeo Association Princess. I
am a fourth generation cowgirl and have been involved with the NJRA my
entire life.
I am also the 2010 Senior Girl Representative; along with
being on the NJRA board, my mother Kelley Nybo is the Treasurer and my
father Gary Nybo is the District 4 representative. We reside in South
Prairie, Washington on our hometown farm.
I am seventeen years old and a junior at White River High
School. Currently I am pursuing my AA degree in business at Green River
Community College as a full time running start student.
I believe rodeo is the best sport on earth and I will continue
to follow my dreams of being the best cowgirl I can be. This will be my 12th
year competing in the NJRA. I will be participating in Barrel Racing, Pole
Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, and Ribbon Dogging. You will see me
at all times by the arena, helping in the arena or preparing for another
event. Everyone is like family to me and I consider it a blessing to be with
my NJRA family every weekend.
Outside of the NJRA I am a member of the Washington State High
School Rodeo Association (WSHRA), Pacific Barrel Horse Association (PBHA)
and the Cascade West Productions (CWP). I travel all over the state of
Washington and Oregon with my parents to participate in both mine and my
father’s rodeos.
If you
have any questions or would like to participate in any fund raisers please
contact me at njranewmembers2010@hotmail.com.
I look
forward to representing all of the members of the NJRA in making 2010
another great year! I can’t wait
to see all of the returning members and new members at the Roy Jr. Rodeo.
